The pilots : Axel Hohendorf and Mark Selby, November aces and their crews. await orders at a special NATO base on Italy's Adriatic coast, primed for actions in the skies over Bosnia.
The place : Accustomed to the most advanced super tornados, Hohendorf is assigned a modified ground attack version, while Selby' F3 fighter is ASV standard.
The mission : Incensed by daily reports of atrocities, convinced that Bosnian crisis demands full November deployment, and disgruntled with his modified plane, Hohendorf makes his move. With McCann as his modified plane, Hohendorf fakes a training flight. Carrying a special weapon load, they will go into Bosnia on their own. But their flight plan deviation has been spotted. Now, as MIG-29s manned by pro-Serbian Russian renegades target their position, Mark Selby gets orders: find his closest friends and convince them to abort their catastrophic mission- or shoot them down.
