There are a number of stories in each genre, some of which clearly demonstrate the conversations of that genre and some of which play with those conventions. Activities help students help students to identify what those conventions are and to examine how an author can use them to create a certain effect. A writer's Cauldron enables students to meet the requirements of the framework to study texts from different genres while also providing a range of accessible stories that really work in the classroom and that key stage 3 students will love to read.
